Farklı coğrafyalarda ve dolayısıyla farklı iklimlerde yaşayan Türklerin gerek en önemli av gerekse evcil hayvanlarından biri olan geyiğinfigürüne geçmişten günümüze kadar efsanelerde, kalıntılarda ve bir çok sanatsal ürünlerde rastlanmaktadır. Gerek çevikliği gerekse güçlülüğü ile Türkün hayatındakutsal bir hayvan olarak önemli yeri bulunan bu figür, kimi zaman efsanelerde türeyiş unsuru, av hayvanı, yol gösterici, şekil değiştirme unsuru, hükmedilen hayvan, inanma unsuru, benzetme unsuru, yer-su sembolü gibi çeşitli anlamlarını temsilen, kimi zaman da sadece bir süs unsuru olarak kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada duvar resimlerinden, pişmiş toprak eserlere, metal eserlerden, taş eserlere kadar bir çok sanat alanında yer alan geyik figürünün halı ve kumaş örneklerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Araştırma tarama yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın evrenini geyik figürünün görüldüğü kalıntı ve sanatsal objeler, örneklemini ise geyik figürünün görüldüğü halı ve kumaşlar oluşturmaktadır. Makalede, ilk olarak geyik figürünün kökenlerine ve eski örneklerine yer verilmiştir. İkinci alt başlık altında ise önce Türk mitolojisindeki anlamları değerlendirilerek diğer ülkelerin mitolojileri ile karşılaştırılmış, sonrasında da üç dokuma ürün üzerinde rastlanan geyik figürünün ne amaçla kullanıldığı tartışılmıştır.

Abstract:

In different geographies and therefore in different climates, the Turkish people need to hunt for the need for the hunt, which is one of their pet animals, from the past to the present day is found in legends, remains and many art products. This figure, which has an important place as a sacred animal in the life of the Turkish, has sometimes been used as a decorative element in the legends, representing the various meanings such as the derivative element, the hunting animal, the guide, the change of shape element, the ruled animal, the element of faith, the element of comparison, the earth-water symbol, and sometimes only a decorative element. The study aims to explore the wall paintings, cooked land works, metal works, stone works, and many art fields of the geek figure's roof and fabric samples. The research method is used. The universe of the study is made up of the remains and artistic objects in which the figure of the geek is seen, and the sample is made up of the roofs and tissues in which the figure of the geek is seen. In the article, first, the origins and ancient examples of the geek figure are listed. Under the second subtitle, first the meanings of the Turkish mythology were evaluated and compared to the mythologies of other countries, then the three textures found on the product were discussed for what purpose the geik figure was used.

Deer Figure In Turkish Textile Art

The deer figure, which is one of the most important hunting and domestic animals of the Turks living in different geographies and hence in different climates, is seen in myths, ruins and many artistic products from the past to the present. This figure, which has an important place as a sacred animal in Turks' life with its agility and strength, has been used as a representation of its various meanings such as a symbol of descendants in the legends, game animal, guiding, shape shifting element, the ruled animal, the element of belief, the element of analogy, the celestial element, and the symbol of ground-water while it has also been used as an element of ornament. In this study, it was aimed to examine the carpet and fabric samples of the deer figure, which can also be found in many art fields such as wall paintings, terracotta works, metal works, and stone works. Survey method was used in this study. The population involved remnants and art objects reflecting deer figure while the sample involved carpets, felt, hand printing  and fabric reflecting deer figure. In this study, the origins of deer figure and the old examples were presented firstly. Then, its meanings in Turkish mythology were revealed and compared with the mythologies of other countries. Finally, the goal of using the deer figure on three weaves, two felt applique and four hand printing was discussed.
