Günümüzde konaklama işletmeleri tarafından da stratejik bir yönetim yaklaşımı olarak kullanılan dış kaynak kullanımı ile oteller asıl faaliyetleri dışında kalan hizmetleri, konusunda uzman tedarikçilerden satın almaktadırlar. Böylece asıl faaliyetlerine yoğunlaşabilmektedirler. DKK uygulamalarına ilişkin otel yöneticilerinin algılarının belirlenmesine yönelik yapılan bu araştırma, Muğla ili Fethiye ilçesinde faaliyet gösteren dört ve beş yıldızlı oteller üzerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, DKK’nın genel olarak maliyetleri düşürücü etkisinden dolayı, en çok da çamaşırhane bölümünde tercih edildiği, muhasebe departmanının otelin DKK kullanım kararlarını gözden geçirmede etkili olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca, DKK’nın yönetsel, örgütsel, hizmet, maliyet ve genel etkilerine ilişkin yönetici görüşlerine de çalışmanın sonuç bölümünde yer verilmiştir.
Today, with the use of external resources used by accommodation companies as a strategic management approach, hotels purchase the services left beyond their main activities from specialized suppliers. They can focus on their main activities. This research aimed at determining the perceptions of hotel managers regarding the DKK practices, was carried out on four and five-star hotels operating in the Muğla or Fethiye district. According to the results of the research, due to the cost-reducing effect of DKK in general, it has been determined that the accounting department, which is preferred in the washing room section, is effective in reviewing the hotel’s DKK use decisions. Moreover, the management opinions on the administrative, organizational, service, cost and general effects of the DKK were also included in the results section of the study.
With the use of outsourcing, which is nowadays used by accommodation companies as a strategic management approach, hotels purchase services other than their main activities from specialized suppliers. Thus they can concentrate on their main activities. This study, which was conducted to determine the perceptions of hotel managers about outsourcing, was carried out on four and five-star hotels in the Fethiye district of Muğla province. According to the results of the study, it is determined that in general the use of outsourcing is preferred due to the cost-cutting effect, it is mostly preferred in the laundry department and that the accounting department is effective in reviewing the hotel's outsourcing decisions. In addition, the opinions of managers about the managerial, organizational, service, cost and general effects of outsourcing are also included in the conclusion part of the study.
