Abstract:

The rapid development of technology deeply affects all segments of the society, working life. Changes in the service sector shape the social relations. In this context, technological changes in taxi and passenger transportation, which is one of the important elements of the transportation and service sector, and new business models developed over the internet, are discussed. In this study, the effects of the technology on the working life are evaluated by evaluating the differences between the classical taxi service and the BiTaksi and Uber applications based on the geographic information system which is considered as the new business model. Working under facebook, twitter and sour dictionary with data obtained from the site of Sputnik internet-based news channel in Turkey are analyzed under the Uber title of the news. The main finding of the study is the recent developments in technology, the changes in the taxi sector, which bring about changes in the working life, transforming the communication between individuals
