Amaç: Yoğun stres altında çalışmak sağlık çalışanlarını ruhsal olarak etkileyebilmekte ve bu durum yaşam kalitelerine olumsuz yansıyabilmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı bir üniversite hastanesinin yoğun bakım ünitelerinde vardiyalı sistemle çalışan hemşirelerin yaşam kalitesinin ve iş kazası geçirme oranlarının incelenmesidir. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Kesitsel tipteki çalışmamızın evrenini bir üniversite hastanesinin yoğun bakım ünitelerinde çalışan hemşirelerin tamamı oluşturmuştur. Çalışma 144 (evrenin % 81’i) kişi ile Eylül-Ekim 2017 tarihleri arasında yapıldı. Katılımcılara anket ve Dünya Sağlık Örgütü Yaşam Kalitesi Ölçeği-Kısa Formu Türkçe Versiyonu (WHOQOL-BREF-TR) uygulandı. Bağımlı-bağımsız değişkenler arasındaki ilişki için t testi ve ki-kare testi ile değerlendirildi. Bulgular: Katılımcıların % 31,3’ü son bir yıl içinde iş kazası geçirmişti. Erkek hemşireler, meslekte yeni olanlar, vardiyalı sistemle çalışanlar anlamlı olarak daha fazla iş kazası geçirmişti. Erkek olmak, evli olmamak, son bir yıl içinde izin kullanmamak ve vardiyalı sistemle çalışmak yaşam kalitesini olumsuz yönde etkilemişti. Sonuç: Yoğun bakım hemşirelerinin dikkat ve özveri ile çalışmaları gerektiğinden yaşam kalitelerinin yükseltilmesi, sağlık hizmetlerinin iyileştirilmesi ve çalışan sağlığının geliştirilmesi bakımından önem taşımaktadır.
Purpose: Working under intense stress can affect health workers mentally and this situation can negatively reflect on their quality of life. The aim of this study is to study the quality of life and the rates of work accidents of nurses working with the cardiovascular system in a university hospital’s intensive care units. Tools and Methods: The universe of our Cutting-edge study has been formed by all the nurses working in the intensive care units of a university hospital. The study was conducted between 144 people (81% of the world) and September-October 2017. The survey was applied to participants and the World Health Organization’s Life Quality Scale-Short Form Turkish Version (WHOQOL-BREF-TR). The relationship between dependent-independent variables was assessed by the t test and the ki-core test. Results: 31.3 per cent of participants experienced a job accident in the last one year. Men’s nurses, those who are new in the profession, those who work with the cardiovascular system had significantly more work accidents. Being a man, not married, not having a leave in the last year, and working with the cardiovascular system has negatively affected the quality of life. The result: As intensive care nurses need to work with attention and dedication, it is important to improve their quality of life, improve their health services and improve the health of workers.
