AĞIZ GARGARALARI VE ANTİSEPTİKLERİNİN FARKLI KOMPOZİT REZİNLERİN RENK STABİLİTESİNE ETKİSİ

Abstract:

Amaç: Çalışmanın amacı farklı ağız gargara ve antiseptiklerinin farklı kompozit rezinlerin renk stabilitesine etkisini incelemektir. Gereç ve yöntem: Çalışmada bir mikrohibrit (Filtek Z250, 3M ESPE, St. Paul, MN, ABD) ve bir nanohibrit kompozitten (Filtek Z550, 3M ESPE, St. Paul, MN, ABD) 50’şer adet disk şekilli örnek hazırlandı. Kompozit rezinler teflon kalıplara yerleştirilerek LED ışık cihazı (1000mW/cm2, Valo LED, Ultradent Products, South Jordan, ABD) yardımıyla polimerize edildi. Polimerizasyonu tamamlanan örnekler 37oC de 24 saat süre ile distile suda bekletildi. Ardından her kompozit için örnekler beş gruba ayrılarak başlangıç renk ölçümleri dijital bir spektrofotometre ile yapıldı. Renk ölçümlerinden sonra örnekler 4 farklı ağız gargara ve antiseptiklerinde (Andorex, Tantum Verde, Batikadin, Listerine) ve distile suda (kontrol) 24 saat bekletildi. Basınçlı suyla temizlenen ve kurutulan örneklerin renk ölçümleri tekrarlanarak renk değişimi miktarları (ΔE) hesaplandı. Veriler tek yönlü varyans analizi ve Tukey çoklu karşılaştırma testi ile analiz edildi. Bulgular: Varyans analizi soncunda farklı kompozit rezin örneklerinin farklı gargara ve antiseptiklerde bekletilmesi ile renk değişimi değerleri arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılıklar tespit edildi (p<0.05). Mikrohibrit kompozit rezin örneklerinin ortalama ΔE değerleri nanhibrit kompozit örneklerinden yüksek bulunurken, en yüksek ortalama ΔE değerleri povidon iyot solüsyonunda bekletilen örneklerde görüldü. Her iki kompozitin kontrol grubu örneklerinin ΔE değerleri klinik olarak kabul edilir derecede bulundu. Sonuçlar: Ağız gargaraları ve antiseptikler kompozit rezin restorasyonlarda, rezinin ve solüsyonun yapısal özelliklerine bağlı olarak renklenmeye neden olabilir. Klinisyen periodontal tedaviler ve kontroller esnasında bu durumu göz önünde bulundurmalıdır. Anahtar Kelimeler: Ağız Gargaraları, Kompozit Rezinler, Renk Değişimi THE EFFECTS OF MOUTHWASHES AND ANTISEPTICS ON COLOR STABILITY OF DIFFERENT COMPOSITE RESIN Abstract Aim: The aim of the study is to investigate the effect of different mouthwashes and antiseptics on the color stability of different composite resins. Material and methods: In the study, 50 disc-shaped samples were prepared from a microhybrid (Filtek Z250, 3M ESPE, St. Paul, MN, USA) and a nanohybrid (Filtek Z550, 3M ESPE, St. Paul, MN, USA) composite. Composite resins were placed in Teflon molds and polymerized with the help of LED light device (1000mW/cm2, Valo LED, Ultradent Products, South Jordan, USA). The specimens, whose polymerization was completed, were stored in distilled water for 24 hours at 37oC. Then, for each composite, specimens were divided into five groups and initial color measurements were made with a digital spectrophotometer. After color measurements, the specimens were stored in 4 different mouthwashes (Andorex, Tantum Verde, Batikadin, Listerine) and antiseptics and distilled water (control) for 24 hours. Color measurement amounts of specimens were repeated after cleaning and drying with pressurized water. The data were analyzed by one-way analysis of variance and Tukey multiple comparison test. Results: As a result of variance analysis, statistically significant differences were found between different composite resin specimens in different mouthwashes and antiseptics and color change values (p <0.05). The average ΔE values of microhybrid composite resin specimens were found higher than nanohybrid composite resin specimens, while the highest average ΔE values were seen in specimens stored in povidone-iodine solution. The ΔE values of the control group specimens of both composites were found to be clinically acceptable. Conclusion: Mouthwashes and antiseptics may cause coloration in composite resin restorations depending on the structural properties of the resin and solution.
