Dijitalleşme olgusu, ekonomik, sosyal, siyasal ve kültürel alanlarda pek çok dönüşüme yol açtığı gibi, bireylerin yaşam tarzları üzerinde de bir takım köklü değişiklikler meydana getirmektedir. Bu gelişmeler bir yandan bireylerin aile yaşantısı için bazı avantajlar ve fırsatlar sunarken, diğer yandan önemli tehditler ve riskler ortaya koymaktadır. Dijital dünyada risklerle maruz kalan grupların başında ise çocuklar ve gençler gelmektedir. İletişim ve bilgi ihtiyaçlarını gidermek için dijital yerliler olarak siber uzaya katılan çocuklar, potansiyel olarak siber saldırılar, siber zorbalık, kişisel mahremiyetin ihlali ve manipülasyon gibi pek çok risk faktörünün yanı sıra; teknoloji bağımlılığı gibi her yaşta insanı etkileyebilen fizyolojik/psikolojik problemlerle de karşı karşıya kalabilmektedir. İnternet tabanlı teknolojilerin oluşturduğu risklerin farkında olmayan veya bu riskleri önemsemeyen çocukların korunabilmesi için en önemli görevler ise dijital göçmen konumundaki ebeveynlere düşmektedir. Ebeveynlik rolleri, dijital kültür çağında çocukların gelişim süreci ve davranışları üzerinde belirleyici bir etkiye sahiptir. Dijital ebeveynliğe ilişkin yapılan araştırma ve çalışmalardan elde edilen bulguların değerlendirildiği bu çalışmada, teknolojik araç ve gereçlerin doğru/bilinçli kullanılmaması sonucu ortaya çıkan teknoloji bağımlılığının önlenmesinde ebeveynlik desteği ve rehberliğinin önemine değinilerek, ebeveynlik rolleri tanımlanmakta ve çeşitli öneriler sunulmaktadır.
As the phenomenon of digitalization leads to many transformations in the economic, social, political and cultural fields, it also leads to a number of radical changes in the lifestyle of individuals. These developments, on the one hand, offer some benefits and opportunities for the family life of individuals, while on the other hand, present significant threats and risks. In the digital world, children and young people are at the top of the groups exposed to risk. As digital indigenous people to meet their communication and information needs, children who participate in cyber space may face many risk factors, such as potential cyber attacks, cyber harassment, personal privacy breach and manipulation, as well as physiological/psychological problems that can affect people at any age, such as technology addiction. The most important tasks to protect children who are unconscious of the risks of Internet-based technologies or are not concerned about these risks are the parents in the digital immigrant position. Parental roles have a decisive influence on the development process and behavior of children in the digital culture age. In this study, which evaluates the findings from research and studies on digital parenting, the importance of parental support and guidance in the prevention of technological dependency arising from the incorrect/conscious use of technological tools and tools, the parental roles are defined and various recommendations are presented.

Children who participate in cyberspace as digital natives to meet their communication and information needs may also come up against physiological/psychological problems that can affect people of all ages, such as technology addiction besides many risk factors such as cyber-attacks, cyberbullying, violation of personal privacy and manipulation. The most important tasks for protecting children who are not aware of the risks posed by internet-based technologies or do not care about these risks fall to parents who are digital immigrants. Parenting roles have a determinant influence on the development process and behavior of children in the age of digital culture. In this study, in which the findings obtained from research and studies on digital parenting were evaluated, parenting roles are defined, and various recommendations are offered, emphasizing the importance of parenting support and guidance in the prevention of technology addiction resulting from not using the technological tools and equipment correctly/consciously.
