Earth erosion, a truly natural process, has reached dangerous dimensions in our country as a result of increased human impact on natural resources and misuse of land. In order to make decisions to reduce this impact, some equations such as EUROSEM, LISEM, SWAT, WEPP are being developed to identify average annual land losses. The work area is the Fol Deresi Micro Pool located in the Eastern Black Sea Region of Turkey, which covers the foundations of Trabzon and Tonya districts. The study used the Universal Land Loss Equation (RUSLE) and Geographical Information Systems (CBS) and geo-statistic methods that were widely used in the world in the calculation of the amount of soil erosion. As a result of the study, the average R, K, LS and C variable values are respectively 422. 0 MJ ha-1 mm hour-1 year-1, 0.0182 tha hour ha-1 MJ-1 mm-1, 10.7 and 0.026 are determined. According to these data; the average annual land loss in the Foles Deresi Pool is estimated at 3.76 tons/ha. If the average annual land loss in Turkey is 6.5 tons/ha, it is clear that the land loss in the pool is below the average of Turkey. The results of the study are guiding in the implementation of erosion control strategies and pool planning studies.
