Abstract:

Türkiye’de kent konseyleri ile ilgili birçok akademik çalışma bulunmaktadır. Google arama motorunda “kent konseyleri, pdf” şeklinde arama yapıldığında 39.500 sonuç çıkmaktadır. Bu kadar çok üzerinde durulan ve yazılan bir konu ile ilgili olarak yeni bir şeyler ortaya koyabilmek zor gibi görünse de çalışmada kent konseylerinin etkinliği ve etkileri, Kent Konseyleri Birliği’ne üye olan kent konseylerinin görüşleri ile açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında görüşmelerin kent konseyleri başkanları veya genel sekreterleri ile yapılması planlanmıştır. Bu görüşmeler neticesinde çalışma, kent konseylerinin işleyişinde ortaya çıkan sorunları bir nebze de olsa tespit etmede ve çözüm üretmede katkı sağlamayı amaçlamaktadır.
