Abstract:

This study examined the impact of life-knowledge course activities prepared on the Orff Approach on the class attitude and success levels of primary secondary school students. The research was implemented with the pre-test-sontest research model of the control group of 49 students, including 25 in the experimental group studying in the second class of a primary school in Kocaeli's Gölcük district during the spring period of the 2015-2016 educational year. The test and control groups were randomly identified. In order to measure the success of students, the researchers prepared the "Life Knowledge Class Success Exam" and the "Tutum Scale" used to measure their attitudes to the class by Talşık (2013) in order to measure. In the statistical analysis of the data obtained in the study, visual statistics and dependent sampling t-Test were used. Life knowledge courses in the experimental group were applied with activities based on the Orff approach. In the control group, it was processed by keeping the methods recommended in the teaching program. The study found that life-knowledge courses prepared by events based on the Orff approach were a significant difference in the benefit of the students in the experimental group where students were processed in terms of class-to-class attitudes and class success levels.
