Abstract:

In the last decade, although urban development projects have spread into all the cities of Turkey, existing legal regulations were not meeting the demands of the rapidly growing construction sector. In order to justify the legal aspectsof the urban development projects a new regulation were proposed and enacted as legislation. Therefore Article 6306 Development of Areas Under Threat of Natural Disaster has come into effect following its publication in the Offical Gazette on the 31st of May 2012. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the Article 6306 regarding the Development of Areas Under Threat of Natural Disaster with an emphasis on legal and democratic implications
