Abstract:

In recent years, the scope of use is rapidly spread by the mass funding model is based on the power of the masses. As the whole process is carried out through the internet, the use of the model is rapidly spreading. The technological development has facilitated access to information and sharing information. Today, people living in different regions can communicate comfortably thanks to digitalization. With the intense use of social networks, the awareness of mass funding is increasing every day. There are studies in international literature showing the successful results of the use of mass funding in the regional development process. This is why the study has been attempted to draw attention to this direction of mass funding. Information access and communication is not so easy at any time in history, and today, thanks to social networks, it has been concluded that mass funding can be successfully used in the regional development process. Therefore, the initiative of local development agencies to focus on this issue is expected to increase the success of the mass funding model as a new instrument in regional development.
