Bu çalışmada Muzaffer İzgü’nün Yumurtadan Çıkan Öğretmen adlı eserinin, Sever’ in (1995), “Nitelikli Çocuk Kitaplarında Bulunması Gereken Yapısal ve Eğitsel Özellikler” adlı ölçütleri dâhilinde yedi öykünün incelemesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında elde edilen veriler nitel araştırma kapsamında doküman incelemesi yöntemiyle tespit edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular belirtilen ölçütler temele alınarak incelenmiştir. Elde edilen bilgiler tablolar hâlinde sunularak değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırmada, bu alanın temelinin oluşturan edebiyat ve çocuk kavramları Muzaffer İzgü’nün yaşamı ve edebî kişiliğiyle birlikte incelenip değerlendirilmiştir. İncelemenin temelinde araştırmaya konu olan 1981 yılında dönemin ağır şartlarında ezilen öğretmenleri konu alan, Yumurtadan Çıkan Öğretmen adlı öykü kitabı; araştırmanın problem cümlesi ve alt problem cümleleri kapsamında incelenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda ilgili eserin tema, konu, ana fikir, karakterler, anlatım biçimi ve dil gibi içeriksel özelliklere uygunluğuyla birlikte biçimsel olarak da çocuğa uygun olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Aynı zamanda ilgili eserin eğitsel açıdan çocuğun toplum içerisinde yer bulduğu, insan ve insana dair yaşamda yer alan olguların çocuğa göre sunulduğu belirlenmiştir. Çalışma kapsamında elde edilen bulgular benzer çalışma sonuçlarıyla kıyaslanarak sonuç bölümünde tartışılmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında geliştirilen önerilerin ilgili alana katkı sunması umulmaktadır.
In this study, the aim is to examine Muzaffer İzgü's work titled "The Teacher Who Hatched" based on the criteria outlined by Sever (1995) for high-quality children's books in terms of structural and educational features. The data for this qualitative research were obtained through document analysis. The findings were evaluated and presented in tables, analyzed according to the specified criteria. The study explores the concepts of literature and children, as well as Muzaffer İzgü's life and literary contributions, which form the foundation of this field. The research focuses on the book "The Teacher Who Hatched," published in 1981, which depicts the hardships faced by teachers during the challenging conditions of that time period. The problem statement and sub-problems of the research revolve around this book. The research results reveal that the analyzed work is formally suitable for children and possesses content features such as theme, subject, main idea, characters, narrative style, and language that are appropriate for its intended audience. Additionally, the work holds educational value in society, presenting human experiences and realities from a child's perspective. The findings from this study are compared with similar research outcomes and discussed in the conclusion section. It is anticipated that the proposed recommendations formulated within the scope of this study will contribute to the relevant field of research.
