Abstract This article reflects on the anti-racist pedagogical practice in Early Childhood Education (EI), based on a theoretical-practical dialogue with everyday episodes experienced by one of the authors who works as a teacher/researcher in the EI of the Municipal Education Network of Belo Horizonte/MG. This dialogic proposal was carried out within the scope of the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Program in Education – Academic Master's in Education and Human Formation – of the Faculty of Education of the University of the State of Minas Gerais (FaE/UEMG). Data were collected through observation and reports of everyday episodes carried out by the author. The main objective of this study is to reflect on the education of ethnic-racial relations, in view of the anti-racist pedagogical practice in EI. Some data show the urgency of this reflection, since children, at this stage of basic education, project themselves to the world, creating new ways of reading, understanding, being and acting in the context in which they are inserted.
