Abstract:

The Islamic world began to encounter a negative attitude intensifying with the September 11 attacks in actual life. Those who take this further back take the process back to the Crusades. In this context, we witnessed the intolerant and hostile treatment of the Western world towards Muslims. It is possible to see this attitude towards Islam and Muslims in two main ways: Consciously practiced anti-Islam and Islamophobia, which developed under the influence of prominent individuals and institutions. Although this attitude of the Western world is tried to be interpreted for different reasons in the current field, it is seen that the events experienced are the reflection of a world of the mind. Therefore, instead of dealing with the event in a narrow frame and only with its current dimension, evaluating it with its mental background will give us a broad perspective. This article deals with the reflections on the Islamophobic attitude developed against the Islamic world in daily life and the mental world behind it. In this context, it is tried to reveal the broad framework of the event by presenting case studies from the history of the prophets. In accordance with the nature of the subject, descriptive, story and analysis methods are used in the study.
