Günümüzde artan çevresel sorunlar, hayatın her alanında hissedilir olmuş, gündelik hayatı etkiler hale gelmiştir. Bu çevresel sorunların önlenmesinde ve etkilerinin azaltılmasında gündelik hayatımızdaki pratikler de önem arz etmektedir. Sürdürülebilirliğin tabana yayılması, sera gazlarının salınımının azaltılması, geri dönüşüm faaliyetlerinin yaygınlaştırılması, katılımcı bir yaklaşımla değerlendirilmeli ve kitlelerin en yaygın şekilde katılımı öncelikli olmalıdır. Bu amaca ulaşmak içinde gündelik hayatın bileşenlerinin ve rutinlerinin ahengi ve doğal döngülerle uyumu önem arz etmektedir. Bu bakımdan 20 yy.’ın ikinci yarısında gelişen çevre estetiğinin bir alt dalı olan gündelik yaşamın estetiği önemli görünmektedir. Çevre estetiği Hegel sonrasında estetik alanda sanat ürünlerine yapılan aşırı vurguya tepki ve toplumda başlayan çevre duyarlılığı ve buna bağlı çevre hareketlerinin gelişmesine paralel olarak ortaya çıkmış ve son dönemde önemli kazanımlar sağlamıştır. İlk başta doğal çevreleri sorgulama konusu yapan çevre estetiği sonrasında insan yapımı mekanları da sorgular hale gelmiş ve Yuriko Saito önceliğinde gündelik hayat ve onun bileşenleri de sorgulama konusu yapılmaktadır. Bu bakımdan bu çalışma sürdürülebilirlik ve kentsel dirençlilik açısından gündelik yaşam pratiklerinin öneminin altını çizerek, gündelik hayatın estetiğinin kentsel dirençlilik çalışmalarına katkılarını sorgulamayı amaçlamaktadır. Çalışmada nitel yöntemin bir alt kolu olan fenomonolojik yöntem kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın gündelik hayatın kalitesi yanında, kentsel çevrelerde niteliksel artışa katkı koyması beklenmektedir.
Recently, increasing environmental issues are being felt in every area of life and have effected everyday life. Practices in our daily lives are also crucial in preventing these environmental problems and reducing their influence. Expansion of sustainability in the base, reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, spreading of recycling activities in general public, ought to be assessed with participatory methodology and the most widespread participation of the majority mass should be a priority. In order to reach this goal, the harmony of the components and routines of daily life and their connection with the natural cycles are critical. In regards to this, the aesthetics of everyday life, which is a sub-branch of environmental aesthetics that progressed in the second half of the 20th century, seems essential. Environmental aesthetics in the field of aesthetics has gained significantly in recent years as it emerged as response to the overemphasis on works of art in the aesthetic field which was to gain power after Hegelian school and development of environmental awareness and related environmental movements that began in society. Initially environmental aesthetics that were subject to the question natural environment, also started questioning man-made spaces, and the everyday life and its components were also questioned by the guidance of Yuriko Saito. In this respect, this study aims to question in term of terms sustainability and urban resistance by highlighting importance of everyday activities contribution of everyday life aesthetics to urban resistivity. In the study, the phenomenological approach was used, which is a sub-category of the qualitative method. It is anticipated that this study will contribute to the qualitative increase in urban environments as well as the quality of everyday life.
