Various approaches to interpretation of «human potential of enterprise» concept were reviewed and new one was proposed. The theoretical and methodological approaches to the assessment of the human potential development at the enterprise (potential assessment using expert method, evaluation of potential by common integral index, the system of indices where each of them reflects the characteristics of the subsystem) were analyzed. Existing approaches to assessment of human potential of the enterprise were systematized and a new methodological approach based on conceptual model of expert assessment with taking into consideration different groups of elements (individual indicators), which are to include in the resumptive index was elaborated. Stages and their subsequences of formation of human potential assessment were defined. This will permit to analyze each component of human potential of the enterprise and take the most reasonable decision which meets the current state of affairs at the enterprise.
