In this study it is aimed to determine the primary student teachers’ using level of measurement and evaluation methods in the new Turkish education program The study was conducted on the students studying at Hacettepe University Primary Teaching Education Department Descriptive model was used in the study The data was collected through qualitative method In order to determine the using level of measurement and evaluation methods in the new Turkish curriculum semi structured interviews were made by student teachers Also the student teachers’ measureme nt and evaluation methods in their lesson plans that they practice for School Experience II were investigated The views provided from the interviews were investigated through descriptive analysis and content analysis techniques The lesson plans were investigated through document analysis technique At the end of the study the using level of the primary student teachers’ using level of measurement and evaluation methods within the framework of new Turkish curriculum were determined and some suggestions were made according to the process of teacher training for Turkish education Key words: Turkish curriculum measurement and evaluation methods primary student teacher
