Günümüzde zamanlarının çoğunu internet ve televizyon başında geçiren çocuklar, medya teknolojileri ile içli dışlı bir hayat yaşamaktadır. Ebeveynlerin çocuklarına yönelik sergiledikleri davranışlar, onların medya araçları ile kurdukları ilişkide belirleyici olmaktadır. İş yaşamlarına daha fazla vakit ayıran ebeveynlerin, çocuklarına ilgi göstermemeleri, onların daha uzun sürelerle televizyon karşısında vakit geçirmesine neden olmaktadır. Ev işlerini yetiştirme telaşında çocuklarını çoğunlukla ‘elektronik bakıcılara’ yani televizyona teslim etmektedir. Televizyon yayınları içinde çizgi filmler; çocukların en fazla izlediği ve etkilendiği programlar arasındadır. Çizgi filmlerde olumlu mesajlar yanında, olumsuz içeriklerle de sıklıkla karşılaşılmaktadır. Medya programlarının içeriklerinde yer alan aldatıcı mesajlar, onların zihinsel ve duygusal gelişimlerini olumsuz yönde etkilemektedir. Çocuklar çizgi filmlerin ürettiği eğlenceli, güzel, güçlü kahramanlarla kendilerini özdeşleştirerek, onları model almaktadır. Söz konusu medya içerikleri aracılığıyla tüketici yaşam tarzı, şiddet kültürü ve olumsuz davranış örnekleri küçük yaştaki çocuklara iletilmektedir. Medya karşısında savunmasız durumda kalan çocukların korunması noktasında medya okuryazarlığı önemli bir beceri olarak ön plana çıkmaktadır. Medya okuryazarlığı sayesinde çocuklar medyada gördüklerini aklın süzgecinden geçirerek eleştirel bir bakış açısı kazanmakta; mesajları çözümleme, değerlendirme ve iletme yeteneği elde etmekte, bilinçli bir medya okuryazarı olmaktadır. Söz konusu çalışma, çocukların çizgi filmler özelinde medya ile kurduğu ilişkinin etkilerini, tüketim alışkanlıkları, şiddet ve saldırganlık bağlamında değerlendirmek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmada doküman incelemesi yönetimi kullanılarak, konuyla ile alan yazın taraması yapılmış, elde edilen veriler doğrultusunda önerilere yer verilmiştir.
Today, children who spend most of their time on the internet and television, live an internal and external life with media technologies. The behavior of the parents towards their children is decisive in their relationship with the media tools. Parents who spend more time on their work lives don’t show interest in their children, causing them to spend more time on television. In anxiety of raising their homework, they mostly deliver their children to 'electronic caregivers', i.e. to television. In television broadcasts, cartoons are among the programs that children are most watched and influenced. In addition to positive messages in cartoons, negative content is often encountered. Fraudulent messages contained in the content of media programs negatively affect their mental and emotional development. Children model them, identifying themselves with fun, beautiful, powerful heroes produced by cartoons. Through the media content, example of consumer lifestyle, culture of violence and negative behavior is transmitted to young children. At the point of protection of the children who remain undefenseful in the face of the media, media literature is a significant skill in the forefront. Through media literacy, children gain a critical perspective by passing through the minds of what they see in the media; acquiring the ability to analyze, evaluate and transmit messages, becoming a conscious media reader. The study was carried out with the aim of evaluating the effects of the relationship that children establish with the media in the cartoons in the context of consumption habits, violence and aggression. In the study, using the document review management, the area with the subject was scaned in summer, according to the data obtained, the recommendations were placed.

Parents, who spend more time in their business life, do not show interest in their children, causing them to spend more time in front of the television. In the rush of raising housework, she often delivers her children to 'electronic caregivers', that is, to television. Cartoons in television broadcasts; It is among the programs that children watch and affect the most. In addition to positive messages, negative content is also frequently encountered in cartoons. The deceptive messages in the contents of media programs negatively affect their mental and emotional development. Children identify themselves with the fun, beautiful and powerful heroes produced by cartoons and take them as models. Consumer lifestyle, culture of violence and examples of negative behavior are conveyed to young children through the media contents in question. Media literacy comes to the forefront as an important skill at the point of protecting children who are vulnerable to the media. Thanks to media literacy, children gain a critical perspective by filtering what they see in the media; acquires the ability to analyze, evaluate and convey messages, and becomes a conscious media literate. The aforementioned study was carried out in order to evaluate the effects of children's relationship with the media, especially in cartoons, in the context of consumption habits, violence and aggression. In the study, using the document review method, a literature review was made with the subject, and suggestions were made in line with the data obtained.
