Aim: The aim of this study is to explain the role and importance of creative industries in the transformation process of industrial heritage areas and to discuss the subject with a sample project area. Method: Firstly, the role of creative industries in the preservation and reuse of industrial heritage is explained theoretically and embodied in a variety of examples. Then, the current situation of the selected case study area that is Antalya weaving factory and its immediate surroundings, the development process, the proposal strategy and the project approach are shared and discussed. Results: Creative city strategies provide significant benefits to urban space, such as the restoration of the image of old industrial cities that have entered the process of industrialization, increasing the attractiveness of cities for commercial and economic activities, promoting the development of culture, art and creativity as an active cultural center, increasing support for cultural institutions and projects, restoration of buildings in the old industrial zones without losing their originality. For this reason, it is thought that the weaving factory area which has high level of accessibility, capable of connecting to many public spaces around and an important place in the collective memory of Antalya has the potential to be an important cultural center where cultural industries can be developed. Conclusion: It is recommended; a region where cultural industries can be clustered, a cultural field that addresses the needs of art groups, a convention area for the business and science world, a region where students will adapt to professional life a recreation area for all people with the developed approach.
