Başta Türkiye olmak üzere bir çok ülkede uygulanan sistemlerin bir gereği olarak öğrencilerin başarısı belli bazı sınavlardaki performansları baz alınarak değerlendirilmektedir. Bu nedenle çeşitli sınavlardaki soruların belli ölçütler doğrultusunda hazırlanması ayrıca öğrencilerin üst düzey düşünme becerilerini geliştirmeye yönelik olması gerekir. Bu çalışmamızın amacı; 9. sınıf coğrafya ders kitabının ünite sonlarındaki değerlendirme soruları ile ülkemizin farklı merkezlerindeki liselerde görev yapan coğrafya öğretmenlerinin 9. sınıf coğrafya sınav soruları ve 2008-2009 ÖSS sınavlarında çıkmış olan 9. sınıf coğrafya konularına dayalı soruları Bloom Taksonomisinin basamaklarına göre sınıflandırarak, karşılaştırmalı analizini yapmaktır. Doküman incelenmesi sonucu 222 kitap sorusu, 233 öğretmen sınav sorusu ve 11 ÖSS sorusu saptanmıştır. Bloom Taksonomisinin prosedürüne göre yapılan değerlendirme sonucunda özellikle öğretmen sınav soruları ile kitap sorularının büyük oranda bilgi basamağındaki sorulardan oluştuğu, buna karşın ÖSS sorularının ise kavrama kategorisinde yoğunlaştığı belirlenmiştir. Öğrencilerin üst düzey düşünme becerilerini geliştirmeyi sağlayacak analiz, sentez ve değerlendirme basamağındaki soruların ÖSS sınavlarında kısmen yer aldığı ve dengeli dağıldığı buna karşın öğretmen sınav sorularında ve ders kitabında ise hemen hemen hiç yer almadığı saptanmıştır.
