The aim of this study is to examine postgraduate theses discussing Turkish and English textbooks as foreign language with regard to criteria of Common European Framework of Reference Languages. The data of the study, which was designed according to the qualitative research design, were collected by document analysis method. The data source of this study consist of 24 postgraduate theses, 14 of which examined Turkish textbooks, 8 of which examined English textbooks, 2 of which examined Turkish English/German books comparatively. Theses discussed were analyzed in terms of year, key words, the language level, textbooks, subjects, results and suggestions. Theses were analyzed according to content analysis which is one of the qualitative data analysis techniques. At the end of the study, it was determined that conducted theses intensified in 2019, the most used key word in theses is teaching Turkish as foreign language, as textbook, Yedi iklim books, as language level, A level were preferred, and generally postgraduate theses intensify on basic language skills subject. In the results of the theses examined, it was determined that in the content of Turkish and English textbooks, there are various deficiencies and the suggestions offered mostly are for the textbook/material preparers.
