The present research aims to examine thoroughly the current situation about the use of technological tools and materials in social studies lessons through observations and experiences of social studies teachers. The study group consisted of 14 volunteer social studies teachers, 5 of whom were female and 9 were male, working in Erzurum state secondary schools in the 2018-2019 academic year. The study was carried out by using the method of case study, one of the quantitative research methods. The data collected in semi-structured interviews were evaluated via the content analysis method. As a result of the research, it was found that most of the teachers closely followed technology through social networking sites. Moreover, it has been found that they use technology in each lesson on appropriate subjects, that this facilitates teaching and ensures the permanence of knowledge, but they face some problems such as systematic errors while performing them.
