The present study aims determining the financial literacy levels of the students studying at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Sivas Cumhuriyet University, and aiming the relationship of financial literacy with the demographic characteristics. In order to achieve this goal, a survey was conducted to 360 students in the spring semester of the educational year 2018-2019. The data obtained were analyzed by using SPSS 22 package software. At the end of the study, it was determined that 56.7% of the students had good level of financial literacy. The financial literacy level of the female students was found to be higher than that of male students. It was also determined that the financial literacy level of the evening education students was higher than that of the daytime education students. Among the departments involved in the survey, the most successful one was Department of Banking and the worst result was obtained in the Department of Business Administration. It was found that the students had the lowest level of knowledge in “Basics of Economy and Finance” field, whereas they had higher level of knowledge on the “Banking and Insurance”. Moreover, it was also observed that the students were following the current financial information.
