The doeuments whieh are donated by Esad Efendi himselj, to the Archive of the Institute of the History of Turkish Revolution, constitute the souree for this study whieh includes assessment of some of the new information and doeuments related to Esat Efendi's services during the Turkish War of Salvation. Esad Efendi who was from Gümüleine, served as teaeher, t~en involved in politieal activities and after the eity was excluded from the Ottoman territories eame to İstanbul. Af ter that, he went to Aydın where he worked as a teaeher in a high school and during that time Greek invasion has begun and the eity was eaptured by Greeks. At that time, Esad Efendi took part in National Forces and achieved significant duties. Esad Efendi served as a member of parliament for a two terms in the Turkish Grand National Assembly. In this paper the information about his activities during this time are studied
