Writing rules have an important place in the correct use of Turkish. Knowing the methods and techniques used by class and Turkish teachers who play an important role in the teaching of writing rules, measurement tools and materials can contribute to the studies to be done for the development of language skills. The aim of the study is to determine how classroom and Turkish teachers teach writing rules. Turkish working class and teachers in different provinces of Turkey constitute the working group's research. In the study, a questionnaire consisting of nine open ended questions was used. Descriptive analysis method was used in the analysis of the obtained data. In the research, it is concluded that teachers are aware of the importance and function of spelling rules in basic language skills and they prefer flat expression, visual, game and presentation supported expression and writing methods in teaching spelling rules. The teachers stated that their students had difficulty especially in punctuation and compound words. Other results of the research are that they do not find the activities included in the textbooks sufficient and qualified, and they mostly do measurement and evaluation studies such as writing studies, written text analysis, multiple choice test.
