Özet:

Abstract In this article, I will analyze Ali Haydar Efendi's (d. 1354/1935) books on ilm al-shurūt. Ali Haydar Efendi was one of the great legal experts who was trained in the last period of the Ottoman Empire. He wrote several books on Islamic law in addition to his legal services in the State. His books have made significant contributions to the science of law and have been an inspiration to the following legal experts. Besides, Ali Haydar Efendi was both trained in madrasa and educational institutions which were established after the Tanzimat. Ali Haydar Efendi's books should be evaluated by considering all these aspects. The books that I will analyze in this article are the last books written in the field of ilm al-shurūt. These books are The Book of the Holy Spirit and the Book of the Holy Spirit and the Book of the Holy Spirit and the Book of the Holy Spirit and the Book of the Holy Spirit. From these books The Coursebook was written earlier and this was the basis of the other book. This book was the coursebook for the lesson of Exercise of Shariyyah which was lectured by Ali Haydar Efendi in madrasah al-qudat. Ali Haydar Efendi had studied on his other book Book al-Mabahis al-Muhimmah fi't-Tatbikat aş-Shariyyah va'l-Hukiyyah for many years. This book contains original information about the practice (tatbikat was the name of ilm-al shurūt in the time of Ali Haydar Efendi) and so this book is the last book written about ilm al-shurūt.
