This study aims to compare the ethical sensitivities and critical thinking tendencies of nursing and medicine students. This research, which is of a distinctive quality, was carried out with 231 nurses and 110 medical students who studied at the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Fırat and the Faculty of Medicine in the 2016-2017 academic year. The data was collected with a survey form consisting of 17 questions, the Ethical Ethical Sensitivity Scale and the California Critical Thought Trend Scale, and analyzed with the Shaphiro Wilk Test, Student T Test and Ki-Care Test. 67.4 percent of students were nursing and 32.6 percent were medical students. In both groups, students have a low critical thinking tendency (Medicine = 212.02±29.34; Nursing = 203.74±30. 62) but it is determined that medical students have a higher critical thinking tendency score compared to nursing students and that the statistical difference between them is significant (p<0.05). The ethical sensitivity of students is medium (Medicine = 87.1±24.26; Nursing = 95.5±23.92), but it has been determined that the statistically significant differences between the students of the medical faculty are lower than the students of nursing (p<0.05). Both students have a low critical thinking tendency and a medium ethical sensitivity, but medical students have a higher critical thinking tendency and a higher ethical sensitivity than nursing students. For future nurses and doctors candidates to be aware of the professional consciousness, it is extremely important to organize postgraduate continuous training programs.
