The purpose of the study was to investigate the mediating role of intrinsic motivation on the relationship between psychological capital and job satisfaction. Data were collected from 423 employees from Kahramanmaraş Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the registered banks using a survey instrument. The structured survey instrument included measurements of psychological capital, intrinsic motivation, job satisfaction, and several demographic items. To identify the relationship among the study variables, correlation and regression analysis were conducted. The findings of the study indicated that psychological capital has an effect on intrinsic motivation and job satisfaction. In addition, the results indicated that intrinsic motivation mediated the relationship between psychological capital and job satisfaction. These findings showed the importance of the effect of psycological capital and intrinsic motivation on job satisfaction.
