All kinds of activities related to production of goods and services are included in the definition of work. Throughout history, these activities have been carried out through private and legal persons who have done business and have made it. There is a possibility that work accidents will come to the scene during the work that is done although it is not wanted. The number of deaths and injuries resulting from work accidents is also indicative of the value given to human life. Especially after the industrial revolution, the work load has increased in order to keep pace with the technological developments of the machines. In the last few decades, measures taken on occupational health and safety have generally occurred after major disasters and are reactive (after the event). In parallel with scientific and technological developments in recent years, important steps have been taken in terms of occupational health and safety, and the rules to be followed have been introduced by states and international organizations as proactive (before the event). In this context, the establishment of detailed statistics has been accelerated in order to see the way to work health and safety. In this study, deaths from occupational accidents took place in Turkey in recent years, particularly due to changes in occupational groups and age ranges were investigated statistically. It is considered that the results will shed light on the development of occupational health and safety culture in Turkey.
