Abstract enThe purpose of this study was to determine the attitudes of basic education teachers towards organizational change. The data used in this study was collected by administering the Attitude Scale towards Change (ASC) which developed by the researcher. The sample of the study was composed of 444 teachers (233 females and 211 males) who were teaching in the city of Izmir during 1997-98 teaching year. In order to answer the research problems, the statistical techniques including Factor Analysis, t-tests and ANOVA have been employed. As a result of the study, it has been found that the attitudes of basic education teachers towards organizational change could be group under three dimension : (a) cognitive, (b) affective and (c) psychomotor.
