In this study, animal husbandry activities in Kars and other related activities’ effects on socialeconomic atmosphere of the city are handled. Performed field works and data obtained from Kars Municipality and Agricultural Department of the City were evaluated in the framework of GIS program and spacial distribution was done on numerical city plan. %40 of city field consists of animal husbandry areas, %8 of city population, which was spotted as 78100 in 2012, and %7 of house number are engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry. In Kars Municipality borders over 21 thousand sheep, goats and cattle are raised and animal population in some quarters reach high numbers. As an important economic sector, animal husbandry, which is only source of income for thousands of citizens in the city, is carried out heavily by those migrating Kars from close regions. In these quarters, like villages, there are barns next to or under houses, hay-barn prepared for the winter season, places used for the storage of animal manure and dried dung to burn in winter season. This view spoils the city atmosphere, leads to environmental pollution and discomforts visitors to the city.
