This study investigated the effects of activities based on learning styles of students on their reading comprehension skills and self-efficacy perceptions in English Foreign Language Classes in terms of student opinions. A qualitative case study was used in this research. The study was conducted on freshmen in fall semester of 2012-2013 academic year. A total of 39 students participated in the study. Individual interviews were conducted by 12 students by using standardized open-ended interview form to receive opinions of the students about the learning style-based reading comprehension activities. Qualitative data were analyzed by using descriptive analysis. The results indicated that students had positive opinions about the activities and they described the process as “satisfactory, prospering, different, efficient, enjoyable and useful”. It can be concluded that activities based on students’ learning styles enhanced reading comprehension skills and English self-efficacy perceptions.
