Hadiths are accepted as the second source of knowledge after Quran in Islamic world. It’s influence on Muslims daily lives is very large. In this article, we preferred to study the hadiths about Prophet Muhammad’s urinating standing up or sitting down. The comments on this group of hadiths affect Muslim men’s daily lives. According to our study there are three stories on Prophet Muhammad in primary hadith books. Hadiths about him urinating standing up, hadiths about him never urinating standing up after he became a prophet and hadiths about him forbidding urinating standing up. In classical hadith explanations, there is a connection between these hadiths and cleanliness. However, nowadays some scholiasts associated these hadith stories with health by misinterpreting. Some health profession and news sources, despite not being correct medically, disseminated the information that urinating standing up is harmful on men’s health. As a result, urinating standing up is not only not forbidden in religion, but also is not harmful as claimed medically.
