As it is known Dîvânü Lugâti’t-Türk means “Compendium of the Turkic Dialects” and in a manner befitting to its name, it contains very important knowledge about the phonology, morphology, lexicology and semantic of the dialects which spoken in Turk’s world at XI. century. When Dîvânü Lugâti’tTürk was written The Seljuks are at the top of the Turkic and Islamic history. In this context, Oghuz Turkic takes first place among the Turkic dialects at Dîvânü Lugâti’t-Türk which Kâshgarî examined. In this paper we will examine the etymology of mandār and mandārlan- words which Kâshgarî noted them as Oghuz Turkic. Researchers cannot explain the etymology of this words or some of them want to explain them with Persian data. We do not participate in them and we will reveal new insights about the etymology of these words
