The aim of this paper is to investigate whether there is a relationship between economic growth and freedom. There is a dominant relationship between economic freedom and economic growth; the economic growth cause economic freedom before the 1980s after this date economic freedom reveal economic growth. Indeed, studies supporting both are found in the literature. Studies on the freedom and growth has generally been associated with developed countries, transition economies, OECD countries and individual country examples. In this study, it is estimated that there is a relationship between economic growth and economic freedom with other branches of economic freedom over the period 1998-2013 for 17 countries which are member of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Consequently, according to the analysis, it is found that economic freedom affects economic growth positively.
