Özet:

The aim of this study is to examine the thesis and research articles related to Life Science textbooks in Turkey between 1996-2016 according to some variables. Within this scope, 30 thesis and 23 articles about Life Science textbooks were examined. The theses examined were obtain from the theses which are accessible from the database of the Council of Higher Education the National Thesis Center and the articles were reached from both the related journals scanned in the National Academic Network and Information Center and the journals published at universities in Turkey. The determined theses and articles are classified under the titles of “publication type of studies, publishing year, university where research is conducted, data collection tools used in studies, the publishing house of the textbook examined, year of publication, grade level and review criteria” using "Thesis/Article Review Form" developed by researchers. As a result of the study, it has been seen that there are some master’s thesis and research articles in this subject; however, there are not many doctoral theses about it. It shows that the books of the state and private publishing houses were examined in these studies while in some studies it is seen that the publishing houses of the examined books were not mentioned. It is resulted that books published in 2005 and 2006 have been examined more frequently and examined more in terms of content.
