Özet:

In this study, it was tried to find out the socio-ekonomic status and the cultural backgrounds of the students attending Dumlupınar University Education Faculty and to come up with solutions for their problems. For that, 363 students at Dumlupınar University Education Faculty were given a questionaire of 10 questions. With these questions, it was tried to find out the reasons why the students preferred the mentioned university and faculty, the places they dwell , the ways they meet their economic needs, the regions and the cities they come from, the frequency of visiting their families, their harmony with Kutahya people and classmates, opinions about the teaching profession and whether they are optimistic or worried about the future. As a result, it was found out that the prestige of the profession and their having positive attitudes towards teaching profession had an influence on their preferences, that they have dwelling, transportation, scholarship and adaptation to the problems regarding environment and they are worried about in-field employment
