Today, institutions need leaders who are not only doing their jobs, but also leaders who take leadership in the forefront, who value intellectual capital and innovation, who meet the expectations of service takers and service providers, and who are brave and determined to shape the organization in this direction. Leadership type plays an important role in achieving organizational goals and objectives and in the efficiency of employees’ operations. Organizational commitment is the expression of employees' loyalties. Organizational commitment increases product and service quality. In this context, the purpose of the research is to examine the effect of leadership style on the organizational commitment of employees. The findings reveal that there is a significant relationship between the leadership styles and all the three sub-dimensions, affective, normative and continuance commitments of organizational commitment as defined by Allen and Meyer.
