Özet:

Medical tourism is a type of health tourism and defined as trip outside one's local environment for the advanced treatment, transplantation, in vitro fertilisation, aesthetic surgery, hair transplantation, eye, teeth, dialysis treatment etc. In this study, it is aimed to evaluate the viewpoints of medical staff working in a private hospital in Istanbul. The total 30-question survey was implemented on health personnel in the hospital. The participants stated that they did not experience any significant problems in the communication with the patient and their relatives, in the payments, in the hospital rules and in the intermediate institutions. While ranking the reasons why foreign patients prefer Turkish hospitals, they indicated near the top health service standards in our country, the satisfaction of the physicians and the international recognition. It was determined that there was a positive situation for healthcare providers and healthcare users on both sides of medical tourism. It is thought that if staff's training and the necessary promotions are increased, our country will come to a much better level in medical tourism
