Grafitti is a phenomenon that has spread all around the world since 1980s with globalization. Today, grafitti is considered to be a global subculture. The aim of this study was to reveal the sub-cultural characteristics of the youth of graffiti, how they see graffiti from their point of view and how they relate them to their lives. Fourteen young people aged between 15 and 30 performing graffiti were included in the study and one-to-one in-depth interviews were conducted with these young people and research data were collected. Data analysis of the research was performed by using descriptive analysis method, which is one of the methods used in the analysis of qualitative data. The study revealed that Denizli graffiti youth was a subculture group, that graffiti has an important place in young people's lives, that young people make graffiti a lifestyle and perceive graffiti as and art and that they can gain cultural, social and economic capital by graffiti. In order to prevent unathorized grafitti, some suggestions were presented. In Turkey, the studies conducted on the sub-culture, especially youth subcultures and graffiti, are limited and there is no research conducted on this subject in Denizli. It is considered that this study will contribute to the literature.
