There are lots of productions in juvenile literature that use Turkish successfully and that are suitable to understanding universe of every children. However, teachers, parents and accordingly children are not suffciently aware of these texts. The expert authors of juvenile literature, can not properly communicate with the people they want to reach. In Turkish textbooks, placing texts that will draw the children away from reading can be assumed as a result of negligence, nescience and lack of information as mentioned above. The texts that only give advice and which do not develop the hearing, thinking and dreaming abilities of the children should be avoided. Therefore the tales which are the important products of Turkish literature should be introduced to children and tale texts written by expert authors should be placed in Turkish textbooks. However it is not true to conduct turkish lessons depending on a single source. The child should be allowed to reach books of different authors, the children readers should be introduced to different texts. The most important thing in Turkish lessons is to allow children to reach good works of art. The texts in Turkish textbooks should realize this purpose and should persuade children to read different works of art.
