Özet:

An Assessment about Murdering Events and Murdering Investigations in Mardin during the Ottoman Period (pp. 637-652) The final point of the violence emotion that people shelter inside is killing another person. According to the belief, Habil, one of Adam’s sons killed his other son Kabil, and this is the first example of this matter. So, it can be said that this matter is contemporary with the adventure of the people in the world. In every time of the world people killed each other because of a reason or various reasons and they didn’t consider the differences such as race, age, sex, religion, or sectarian while doing that. The feeling of law that has come into existence as a result of the desire to solve the conflicts between people has been closely interested in it. The subject of this study is the murder cases that have been investigated in Mardin Qadı Court during Ottoman period. It is stated how the Ottoman qadı registers consider to this event, the profiles of the murderers and the people who were murdered, the scene of the murders, the murder tools and the reasons why people face this event. We tried to emphasize what the differences and similarities between the murder cases in the past and today are.
