Özet:The Kucuk Menderes River is one of the important rivers of the Aegean Region. The river carries to the Aegean Sea, agricultural pollution caused by improperly used pesticides and chemical fertilizers in intensive agricultural activities and domestic and industrial wastewater discharged without treatment of settlements. In this study, it is aimed to determine the anionic detergent pollution and its sources in Küçük Menderes river. Anionic detergent concentrations ranged from 0.043 to 0.845 mg/L and the average concentration of anionic detergent was found 0.36 mg/L. In comparison with the quality criteria of the inland water resources, it was found that the river water was in the contaminated water class in terms of anionic detergent parameter.
