Abstract:

The  purpose  of  this  study  is  to  identify  the  opinions  of  physics  teacher  candidates  about using of creative drama in physics courses as a teaching method. The research was planned as a qualitative  study.  Participants  of  the  study  were  teacher  candidates  who  are  attending  at  Gazi Education  Faculty  enrolled  in  Physics  Education  Department.  Data  for  this  study  was  collected through semi‐structured interviews and analyzed through the content analysis technique. In the light  of  the  information  obtained,  the  perspective  of  teacher  candidates  has  developed  in  a positive  way  after  the  study.  Besides  this,  it  was  concluded  that  the  majority  of  the  teacher candidates think that drama is available in physics courses and the teacher candidates wanted to use  creative  drama  in  their  career.  The  teacher  candidates  stated  that  the  most  important benefits of creative drama was to facilitate of connection to physical issues and daily life. They have also stated that they think they will be forced to plan the lesson and class domination most when using the method of creative drama.
