Kütüb-i Sitte hadis imamlarından kısa süre sonra Buhara’da yetişen Kelâbâzî (ö. 380/990), hadislerle temellendirdiği görüşleriyle tanınan önemli bir muhaddis ve sûfî âlimdir. Kur’an ve hadislerden çıkarttığı yorumlarıyla, dinin zahir ve batın hükümleri olarak adlandırılan manevî hayat tarzını tasavvuf adıyla incelemektedir. Sünnetin ihyası adıyla temellendirdiği görüşlerini et-Taarruf ve Meâni’l-ahbâr adlı iki önemli eserde toplamıştır. Her iki eser, Hz. Peygamberin (a.s) uygulamalarından yola çıkarak İslam düşüncesine hadislerle ışık tutmaktadır. Kelabâzî’nin mezkûr eserlerindeki hadisler incelendiğinde onun bir sünnet savunusu yaptığı görülür. Bu çalışmada, yaşadığı dönemin karakteristik özelliği de dikkate alınarak Kelabâzî’nin, sünnetin ihyasına ne şekilde gayret ettiği vurgulanacaktır. Hadislerle irtibatlandırdığı görüşleri bazı örneklerle analiz edilecektir.
