Abstract:

Summary: The purpose of the study is to determine the relationship between the life satisfaction of women working in the status of workers and officials and the disadvantages of their leisure time. The research group consists of a total of 190 women working as officials and workers at the University of the Mediterranean (33 ± 5.8). The personal information form created by the researcher in the framework of the research was also used for the scale of life satisfaction and the scale of free time barriers. The analysis of the data has also been applied, pearson correlation and frequency analysis. The results of the analysis showed a negative relationship between the participants’ free time obstacles and life satisfaction (r=-.24; p<0.05). When it comes to the relationship between life-to-life disorders and free-time disorders, it has been seen a negative relationship, especially from the lower dimensions of free-time disorders; from the lower dimensions of lack of interest (r=-.24; p<0.01), from the lower dimensions of lack of information (r=-.21; p<0.01), and from the lower dimensions of individual psychology (r=-.17; p<0.01). It is believed that the elements in the assessment of the free time that the participants do not result from the reasons of the lack of time, facility or friends are dependent on the individual’s own inner motivation.
