Mecduddîn Muhammed b. Ya‘kûb el-Fîrûzâbâdî 729/1329 yılında İran’ın Şiraz şehrinde dünyaya gelmiş, hıfzını ve ilk tahsilini burada tamamlayarak genç yaşta dil bilimindeki maharetiyle öne çıkmış, dönemin birçok ilim merkezini dolaşarak önemli isimlerle etkileşim hâlinde bulunmuş çok yönlü bir âlimdir. Oldukça kuvvetli bir hafızaya sahip olan Fîrûzâbâdî, gittiği şehirlerdeki birçok âlimin rahle-i tedrisinden geçmiş, yine kendisi de pek çok talebeye ders vermiştir. En son Yemen Resuliye devleti hükümdarı el-Melikü’l-Eşref ’in daveti üzerine Zebid’e gelerek burada hem Yemen Kâdı’l-kudatlığı vazifesini üstlenmiş hem de ilim dünyasına pek kıymetli hizmetlerde bulunmuştur. Her ne kadar esas şöhretini, dilbilim sahasında telif ettiği el-Kâmûsu’l-muhît adlı sözlük çalışmasına borçlu olsa da müellifin Kur’an ve tefsir sahasında kaleme almış olduğu Besâiru zevi’t-temyîz adlı eseri ve dolayısıyla tefsirciliğinin dilbilimdeki bu yetkinliğinin gölgesinde kaldığı düşünülmektedir. Çalışmamızın ana gâyesi müellifin Kur’an ve tefsir ilmi sahasındaki varlığını Besâir ekseninde ortaya koymaya çalışmaktır. Bu konu müellifin Besâir’de Kur’an ve sûreler hakkındaki ilimlere bakışı özelinde incelenecektir.

The main cause of our work is to try to reveal the existence of the Qur’an and the interpretation of the knowledge in the Besâir axis.
