Abstract:

In our today's world where we experience the age of information, the technology is rapidly developing and makes huge impacts on every aspect of our lives. Institutions and organizations are doing a lot of work and making some investments to benefit from the technology pre-eminently. The schools, which are places where the educational and training activities are being carried out, have been the most affected institutions by this situation. Many studies are being performed to ensure that the schools are being technologically strengthened, to add innovations to schools and to provide students with a better service of education and teaching. The most comprehensive of these studies is the Fatih project. It was aimed to strengthen the technological infrastructure of the schools, to be equipped with interactive whiteboards and to make a benefit at the highest level from the technology in education by this project by distributing tablet computers to the students. In this research this technological innovation and change launched in our country has been examined according to the views of the classroom teachers. The classroom teachers participating in the research as the result of the studies conducted on 388 classroom teachers have stated that the Fatih project would allow more students to benefit from the technology.
