Bu çalışmada bağımsız denetim kalitesinin finansal performans üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmıştır. Bu kapsamda denetim kalitesi göstergeleri olarak denetim komitesi üye sayısı, denetçi görüşü ve denetim firması büyüklüğü, finansal performansın ölçümünde ise ROA, ROE ve Tobin Q değişkenleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın veri seti, BİST Sınai Endeksi’nde yer alan 123 şirketin 2015-2021 yılları arasına ait yıllık verilerini kapsamaktadır. Verilerin analizinde doğrusal panel regresyon analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda denetim komitesi üye sayısı ile ROA ve ROE arasında ilişki bulunamazken, denetim komitesi üye sayısı ile Tobin Q ile anlamlı ve pozitif bir ilişki olduğu denetçi görüşü ile ROA, ROE ve Tobin Q arasında bir ilişki olmadığı denetim firması büyüklüğü ile ROA arasında ilişki olmadığı ve denetim firması büyüklüğü ile ROE ve Tobin Q arasında anlamlı ve negatif ilişki olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
This study examined the impact of the quality of independent audit on financial performance. In this framework, audit quality indicators include the number of members of the audit committee, the audit opinion and the size of the audit company, and the financial performance measurement of the ROA, ROE and Tobin Q variables. The research data set covers the annual data of 123 companies listed in the BIST Industrial Index for the period 2015-2021. In the analysis of data, the linear panel regression analysis method was used. The research finds that there is no relationship between the number of members of the audit committee and the ROA and the ROE, while the auditor’s opinion that the number of members of the audit committee is a meaningful and positive relationship with Tobin Q and that there is no relationship between ROA, ROE and Tobin Q and that there is no relationship between the size of the audit company and the ROA and that there is a meaningful and negative relationship between the size of the audit company and the ROE and Tobin Q.
